Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Ms. Daughtry and I am so excited for this school year.

I am a Summa Cum Laude graduate from NC State University in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a concentration in STEM Education. I am also a Hobbton graduate and I'm so excited to be back as a Wildcat teacher!

Kindergarten is an exciting time of learning and growth. This year we will learn about the alphabet and letter sounds. We will learn strategies to decode and read words. We will explore books and will learn how to answer questions about the stories. In math, we will learn about numbers, counting, solving problems, and explore shapes. We will also learn a variety of science and social studies topics!
