Translation: HISTORY IS THE TEACHER OF LIFE
This Latin expression comes from the famed Roman orator and statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero. It serves as one of my personal mottos. I aim in all my classes to convince my students Cicero was correct in the importance he ascribed to history.
