Just a note about me...

Welcome Midway Middle School students, parents, staff and other community members! My name is Misty McLamb, and I have been serving as the School Counselor at Midway Middle since 2003! My teaching career started with Sampson County Schools as a middle grades science and math teacher in 1995 at Midway Elementary. I was raised in Sampson County, and consider it an honor to work here. Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington
Master of Education in School Counseling from Campbell University

Students within the Midway Middle School Counseling Program are empowered to become life-long learners, seeking continuous improvement to be successful in college and/or career.

Mission Statement

The Midway Middle Counseling Department, in partnership with home and community, will provide each student with a comprehensive school counseling program in order to build a support system that fosters critical thinkers and productive citizens.  The school counselor will also serve as an advocate to assist in meeting the needs of a diverse student body, preparing them to become contributing members of our society.
