About Me!

My name is Roshika N. Boone. In 1999, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  Later I earned my Elementary Education Licensure from Fayetteville State University.  In 2008-2009 I represented Charles E. Perry Elementary School. Roseboro, NC as Teacher of the Year.  I am also a graduate of the Growing Future Leaders class of 2009-2010.  In August 2013, I obtained my Master's Degree in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, NC.  In 2014-2015, I represented Roseboro Elementary School, Roseboro NC as the Teacher of the Year.  I have been teaching for 22 years. I taught third grade for 20 years.  I taught fourth and fifth grade one year.

My philosophy regarding education is that education opens the door to everyone regardless of race, creed, or color.  Education is the vehicle by which anyone can move to a higher socioeconomic level.  Within each child there is the potential for greatness, although they differ in learning styles or skills.
