I am a product of the Lakewood District School system. I attended Salemburg Elementary, Roseboro-Salemburg Middle School and graduated from Lakewood High School. Go Leopards! After completing my high school education, I attended a private liberal arts university in Lexington, Virginia, Washington and Lee University. During my time at Washington and Lee, I developed a deep and abiding love for the history of the United States and the Western Hemisphere. It is the newness of our history and the potential for change that attracted me. Just like American History, my future and that of your child’s is yet to be determined. I received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in American History with a minor in Economics. My love of science-earth, physical and life complimented my studies of history and economics. My love of education has led me to teach classes in American and World history while also teaching classes in the sciences.
As a professional, I am a Career Status teacher has been teaching in the Lakewood District for over 20 years who likes to stay abreast of changes in the education. I look forward to employing new strategies to improve your child's comprehension of history, science, and reading.
As an individual, I am the mother of two fabulous children and several fur-babies. I love to ride my bike, work in my yard and spend time with family, friends and co-workers.
