Hello Spartan Family,
My name is Colt Pierce and I am excited to serve as principal of Union Intermediate School. This is my 10th year in education. After graduating from NC State with a bachelors degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, I taught one year at Rolesville High School in Wake County. My wife and I decided to move to Sampson County, where I began teaching math at Union High School. I spent 4 years at UHS teaching, coaching basketball, and building relationships in this community. While teaching, I began graduate school at UNCW to pursue a degree in school administration. In 2019, I graduated from UNCW and was hired at Midway High School as an Assistant Principal. I worked 3 years at MHS before transitioning back to the Union district this year. I have a passion for education and helping students be successful. I am looking forward to getting to know the students, staff, and parents of UIS! Go Spartans!
