Sampson County Schools offers an approved driver education course provided through North Carolina high schools or a commercial driver education school licensed by the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles. North Carolina does not accept the http://dmvedu.org/   course for Driver Education.

2023-2024 Class Information and Schedule
Students must be 14 ½ years old on or before the starting date of class work.

• There is a $65.00 fee to be sent in with registration or paid on the first day of class.

• State law requires 30 hours of online/classroom participation and six hours of driving time. To receive credit, one must attend ALL the sessions.

• There are in-person classes for those who are not enrolled in Sampson County Schools or those who wish to go in person.

• If approved, Sampson County School’s students will be given the class code after registering and submitting payment for the Google Meet class.

• Parents/students shall fill out the registration form and return it to their school at the address below along with the $65 fee.

The Driver Education instructor will email all Google class information once registration is received along with the $65.00 fee. You can reach out to the instructor by email if you need to drop off the fee at school and make those arrangements. Class Information, dates, and times will be announced through your school.
