At their July 18 board work session, the SCS Board of Education approved the recommendation from SCS Superintendent Dr. Jamie King for a new middle school principal.
Anthony Pass will become the new principal of Hobbton Middle School. He began his career in education in 2014 as a career and technical education business education teacher at Northeast Guilford Middle School, in Guilford County, NC.
He has served as the assistant principal of Jackson Middle School, in Guilford County, NC, Lexington Senior High School, in Davidson County, NC, and Asheville High School, in Buncombe County, NC. Pass has also served as a dean of students at Ben L. Smith High School, and a dean of students principal intern at Northeast Guilford Middle School, both in Guilford County, NC.
Pass earned his master of school administration from Gardner-Webb University, his Master of Arts in Teaching in Business Education from North Carolina A & T, and his bachelor’s in business administration from Averett University.
