Sampson County Schools is excited to announce the availability of Y After-School Care at both Roseboro Elementary and Salemburg Elementary. This program is designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for children in grades K-12, promoting their safety, health, social development, and academic growth.
With the Y’s Afterschool program, your child will have the chance to participate in a wide range of fun and enriching activities, such as sports, team-building exercises, outdoor play, swimming, and group fitness classes. These experiences not only keep children active but also help them explore and develop their unique interests and talents.
To support your child’s academic success, each day includes at least 30 minutes of structured homework help. A healthy snack is also provided, following the YMCA's Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) Standards. The program is committed to fostering a healthier lifestyle, encouraging children to care for their mind, body, and spirit.
Afterschool Care operates every school day, from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Depending on the school, students either remain on-site under the supervision of Y staff or take a Y bus to their designated program location. The YMCA of Sampson County is located on E. Johnson Street in Clinton.
For families in need of financial assistance, the Y offers scholarships through its Pathways program, supported by generous donors and partners of the Annual Campaign. This ensures that all children, regardless of financial circumstances, can benefit from the Afterschool Program.
We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to our students and look forward to seeing them thrive in this supportive and fun-filled environment!
