Due to hazardous road conditions throughout the county, Thursday, February 20 will continue to be an asynchronous remote learning day for students and staff. All after-school activities and events are canceled for Thursday, February 20.
Students should continue to work on their class assignments and be ready to turn those assignments in when schools reopen. Per the SCS Remote Learning Plan, students will have five days to turn in their completed assignments when school reopens. Completed assignments count as the student’s daily attendance.
All employees must document seven and a half hours of work time before or after the regular scheduled working hours and submit to their supervisors before May 31st, 2025 to document the time made up for the missed school day tomorrow. Staff have the option to take annual leave if they choose not to make up their time.
We will continue to closely monitor the weather forecast in collaboration with our local emergency management agency and provide updates on any changes to school schedules, including afterschool activities, as necessary for Friday.
Official updates will be provided to our families via text message, phone message, and email as well as on our website (www.sampson.k12.nc.us) and social media platforms (@SampsonSchools).
