SCS schools and district offices will operate on a remote schedule for students and staff on Wednesday, January 22. Teachers have provided students with paper copies of classwork that needs to be completed and have uploaded assignments in Google Classroom.
We will continue to closely monitor the weather forecast in collaboration with our local emergency management agency and provide updates on any changes to school schedules, including afterschool activities, as necessary for Thursday and Friday.
Official updates will be provided to our families via text message, phone message, and email as well as on our website (www.sampson.k12.nc.us) and social media platforms (@SampsonSchools).
All employees must document seven and a half hours of work time before or after the regular scheduled working hours and submit to their supervisors before May 31st, 2025 to document the time made up for the missed school day tomorrow. Staff have the option to take annual leave if they choose not to make up their time.
The student hours are already built into the calendar to have one missed instructional day and the day will not need to be made up.
