JROTC

85th JROTC Battalion, Union High School recently went through their mandated JROTC Accreditation Program inspection. This inspection is conducted every 3-4 years, and validates that the criteria for educational quality has been established in accordance with the Cognia Global Commission, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.  

The 4th Brigade Inspectors were:

The 85th Battalion scored 96.5 out of a possible 100 points, Honor Unit with Distinction.  The Battalion was also recognized as being one of the top 5 JROTC programs in the Brigade

(North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware, Washington D.C. and Maryland)

Three of our Cadets, Cadet Command Sergeant Major Hassan Harvey, Cadet First Sergeant Aileen Seranno, and Cadet Second Lieutenant Rodrigo Elias  were recognized as outstanding Cadets by the Brigade Team Inspectors.
